Welcome to the Wayne Township, NJ, Preakness Fire Company Four's Official Website!

 The Preakness Volunteer Fire Co #4 was founded in 1924. It is the fourth oldest fire department in Wayne. Altogether, there are five separate fire departments in Wayne. Taken together, all five are referred to as the Wayne Fire Department.

Our purpose is for the protection of life and property which range from fire to similar disasters. The Preakness Volunteer Fire Company serves the northeast corner of Wayne Township.

Smoke Detectors Save Lives!

We respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, in all weather conditions.
Last year, we served our residents by responding to over 864 emergency calls. These calls as well as our training exercises amount to over 7,200 volunteer man-hours (not including maintenance of the equipment and the firehouse).

We really appreciate donations to help our efforts! Any amount helps! We rely on donations.
